The Sweet Shop RIPPLE Station
What if a few moments of attention could start a ripple?
This is a RIPPLE Station™ — a place to pick up a handmade token, personalize it for someone, and give it away.
Choose a token. Add someone’s name and a few words meant especially for them. Then give it to someone you might otherwise pass by — a server, grocery clerk, teacher, delivery driver, crossing guard, gardener, neighbor, or anyone whose everyday work deserves a moment of attention.
The tokens are free, but they’re not meant to be kept.
They’re made by our community for giving.
There’s something special about the Sweet Shop RIPPLE Station: our community helps create what goes inside. From there, the ripple continues.
One person helps make it.
Another person picks it and personalizes it.
And someone else receives it.
We may never know where each ripple ends — and that’s part of the idea.
Where the ripples began
The original RIPPLE Station™ was created by Mansi and installed outside her home in Los Altos in August 2025.
What began as a neighborhood experiment — handmade tokens left for neighbors to take, personalize, and give away — has grown into part of Mansi’s larger RIPPLE Practice, an ongoing exploration of what can happen when we pause long enough to notice the people around us.
The Sweet Shop RIPPLE Station carries that same invitation into a new corner of Los Altos, with one important addition: this time, the community is helping create what goes inside.
Follow the ripples
We’ll share photographs, community-making moments, new batches of tokens, and stories that find their way back to us about where a Sweet Shop ripple traveled or who received one.
Made something with us? Picked up a token? Gave one away? Received one?
We’d love to hear your story.
